In 2019, competition in the kitchen renovations space was strong, with the highest organic ranking positions occupied by longstanding kitchen companies that had developed a stranglehold throughout the Gold Coast area. While surpassing these brands certainly wasn’t going to be easy, an effective long-term SEO plan built around a strong content strategy, would ensure that steady progress and success would be possible.
Challenge
When the client first came to Heart Digital in back in August of 2019, it was a familiar situation; they had a great reputation, but an unremarkable online presence. Their website was uninspiring and nothing in the way of SEO had ever been performed on it. The challenge facing us was simple. Make their website competitive for the keywords that were most valuable to their business.
Solution
On-page content was central to our strategy. We started off by working closely with the client to create well-written copy for all the major landing pages. That is, the home page, about page and services page. Blog posts were then written on a regular basis, both by the client and by our team, to ensure that high-quality, fresh content that was valuable to the client’s target audience, was being published onto the client’s website on a regular basis.
All blog posts contained internal links to the client’s most important landing pages. These blog posts were then distributed across the client’s social media accounts, guaranteeing more users browsed our client’s website. On-page content was supplemented with external blog posts, while citations were added on a monthly basis to provide a sustained effect on the client’s local SEO. The GMB listing was properly optimised to ensure improved results and help maximise conversions.
